Comparative Study of the Efficacy of Misoprostol and Oxytocin Im in the Prevention of Post-Partum haemorrhage in a Low-Resource Setting

Background: In developing countries, postpartum hemorrhage is responsible for 30% of maternal deaths. Although the World Health Organization recommends use oxytocin prevention hemorrhage, misoprostol increasingly common. The objective this study was to determine frequency in parturients delivering at Saint-Vincent Hospital and compare effectiveness versus preventing hemorrhage. Material Methods: We conducted a comparative longitudinal Saint Vincent comparing 10 units intramuscular with 600 micrograms sublingual misoprostol. from 01 January 2017 31 December 2019, period 3 years. population consisted 2161 consenting women.
